Sometimes enjoyment is all about ignoring the long-explanation.

“Look! It’s the first snowflake that I personally recall actually seeing this year,” is really an unnecessary expository.

My grandson (14) and I were trying to catch snowflakes on our tongues yesterday, just for the heck of it.

With me around, it usually goes something like:

“Star light, star bright, first star I-”
“That’s Venus.”
“Oh. Um. How about that one?”
“Jupiter. Try Arcturus over there.”
