   NC has been like that a lot in recent history. The most outstanding bit of bipolar weather we got was in February of this year where it went from freezing temps to 90F in a span of 3 days! Lived all but 4 of my 51 years in this state & had never seen anything like that before (Though, I understand SanFran does the same in a matter of hours ;D)!

   I’m from the Pacific North Wet … er …West. Just take the 1st panel and extend it for 30 days. That’s November.

   @Harena, eek! February is one of those nasty unpredictable months. :-/

   @Dan, I’ve been in the PacNW for 12 years now, and oh yes. Just take panel 1 and extend it 8 months. ;-)

   One of my old managers lived and worked in Portland (OR) for some twelve years. He used to say “Summer usually happens around August third – sometimes all day!”

   Thinking about how this comic will look to people in, say 500 years when the language has changed. The subtlety of Vachel’s sarcasm would disappear from the point of view of an audience reading in translation or reading English as an ancient language; they might think Vachel is really just realizing it’s November.
