So close, Vachel. So close.
A silly strip, but if you’ve ever chopped wood, you know how true it is.
Even as a kid, when our house was heated only by firewood, I had mixed feelings about cutting down trees.
I think some of my favorite things are things I can’t define exactly why I like them.
My childhood mind at work, thinking how I would do it.
I have never gotten into canning, but I’ve had many friends who have been (and I’ve helped!). But I think if I did it, I’d have similar motivations as Blake.
Funny this strip going up at the opposite time of year, where everyone is saying “it’s summer” but winter doesn’t seem to be listening. :)
This strip really makes me like Kendra. I mean, she can be a real uncaring wildcard, but if she’s lucid (even if wrong) her heart seems to be in the right place.
Sometimes it’s best to see who you’re asking directions from before you open your mouth. Just saying.
Vachel’s “non answer” I think came my own practice of using it as a teenager. Very useful…. as long as the parent (or Ted) don’t notice. ;-)
